My husband and I are considering a transfer from Palouse, WA to either Wenatchee, wa or White Salmon, WA. I used to live near Lake Chelan, so I am familiar with the area, but it has been quite some time since I was there. My husband will transfer into a job, but I will need to find work as a registered nurse, preferably a hospital position.

We both love the outdoors, and I would like to live in an area that has lots of trails to ride on my horse, as I do endurance riding. We are also considering the cost of housing, land, safety, and the ability to find a rental while we sell our home.

Does anyone know how the economy is in either town? We don't have children so schools are not important. I am used to small town living, and we have often lived in rural places, but it would be nice to have some big name stores nearby without having to drive 1-2 hours. What is the weather like? Which town would be more enjoyable?

Any thoughts or comments appreciated. Negative or positives appreciated. Thanks!!

Amber
