Well if you're saying that because cities like Winston-Salem are on the poll, then in that respect yes. Otherwise, as far as the actual question goes, not by a long shot. Nice skyline for its size, but hardly the best in the region, even subjectively speaking.

That's exactly why I'm saying it. I'd rather talk about cities other than Houston, Atlanta, Miami, and Dallas all the time. Best? Hell no, but worthy of conversation every now and then.
1 and 2: Atlanta and Miami
3 and 4: Houston and Dallas
5: Charlotte
6. Nashville
7. New Orleans
8. Louisville
For me Atlanta used to be a clear #1, but with all the recent building, Miami and Atlanta are very close.
Atlanta: I really like the individul buildings in Atlanta. I think 191 Peachtree, BOA, Suntrust, Westin Peachtree Plaza, and 1800 Peachtree are all great looking buildings. But they are a bit too spread out for my taste. When/if downtown and midtown truly connect, it will be a sight to behold.
Miami: None of the individual buildings are that appealing to me, but the natural setting is magnificent, and in the last decade the density has really picked up.
Dallas and Houston: Both of these are nice skylines with some tall buildings and decent density, but neither one really "speaks" to me.
Charlotte: compact, but nice height on the biggest buildings. A very clean and modern look.
Nashville: smaller, but some interesting looking buildings (especially AT&T) and I like the river setting.
