Odd that two of the most iconic new anchors-Walker Cronkite and Dan Rather was from Houston. I didn't even know Isaiah Washington was from Houston. Michael Dell too.
I live really close to Phylicia Rashad's and Debbie Allen's Childhood home (They are sisters).

Probably New York City.
FTR, Sarah Jessica Parker is not from NYC; however, her husband, Matthew Broderick is and I kind of consider him iconic. Scarlett Johansson was born & raised, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Marisa Tomei, Alyssa Milano.
Also, I think Australian actors and actresses do pretty well, esp. the ones from NSW. Nicole Kidman, Hugh Jackman, Heath Ledger, Abbie Cornish, and let's not forget Geoffrey Rush.

Though on the whole they come from just about everywhere with NYC and LA producing the most, one they are the largest areas and two most aligned to the entertainment industry seems like a no brainer
Chicago is probably next
