I can't believe st Louis was listed as third place ahead of Somalia! I think that must be skewed because east st Louis I thought was a separate city from the rest of st Louis. Traditionally in the 21st century I believe east Louis and opa locka florida are considered to be the most dangerous places in America.
Nvm, To follow up on my other post, just checked the source... it's an entertainment blog... There is a 2012 list too (no St. Louis and a lot of changes...), Capetown is now the most dangerous city in the world... apparently...

The bad parts of NYC are still no joke, and no walk in the park from what people on this thread have shown me.

It's funny, if you say you're from a dangerous neighborhood called Brownsville, most folks would assume you're talking about Brooklyn. But Brownsville in Miami(Brown Subs as most residents call it) is just as dangerous.

Don't disagree at all. The bad parts make up a smaller fraction of the city than some American cities, but that's more of a statement on how far some ghettos have sunk than that the bad parts of NYC are decent.

It's actually not a neighborhood. It's a seperate city.

Yeah, both Opa-Locka is a separate city. And Brownsville is a census-designated area of Dade County.

A friend of my friend got shot there — he got mugged and ran away from the mugger because he was very poor didn't want to lose what he had. So the mugger shot him.
