You are comparing a 2.5 sq mile area that is Center City to an ENTIRE COUNTY?!?!

Center City is the largest business district, and now that I look at things, King of Prussia area may be larger than Downtown Pittsburgh.

Montgomery county is Philadelphia's Jersey city. It's not this independent county relyin on itself. It borders Philly, and you can sometimes be in Philly, then MC without noticing very easily. Bala Cynwood(sorry on spelling) is so great because its on the City Ave corridor. These are all the result of Philly. KOP is just a township in MC, doesn't out preform Philly In no type of way. MC is a direct suburb of Philly, and the economic powe over fills into it, as well as Upper Darby.

2010 Census Interactive Population Map

For all you that still claim University City has 70,000 residents. Look at this. Census data. Click on the boundaries of the census districts that make up UC. The total is 23,512...

UPMC has 55,000 employees, most of them located in Oakland. Also the largest employer of Pennsylvania.

UPMC Facts and Stats - UPMC, Pittsburgh, PA, USA
From what I gather, everyone is a bit off on this. I think previous claims are that UC has 70,000 employees not residents. Here are the numbers according to the district's own website:

Employees: 64,893 excluding government workers and self-employed individuals
Population: 48, 589

So help me out here. I'm confused.
This is where I thought he said 70,000. He actually said 99,000.... which is almost the population of the entirety of West Philadelphia...

West Philly is home to 216,000 residents. When he said 99,000 he added in the 60,000k that were not counted for. University City is a college neighborhood, and that's all you see when your there.

College students are counted in a census count.... otherwise Oakland's population would be much lower

No they are not. Because they are temporary residents.
