You can play dumb all you want. If I started that thread you would have a public out cry to citydata asking for the thread to be removed. I'm not white, but if I were I would be offended by this thread.
No, I'm serious. Go make the thread...no one will care. There's tons of ghetto threads on here and no one shuts them down.
There's also a difference though... Calling someone a redneck isn't necessarily that bad. I mean in my family alone there's a ton of self-described rednecks. My grandpa used to joke about being an ol' redneck himself. I knew people of Native American descent who called themselves rednecks--they loved their trucks and guns. It's a little derogatory for people outside that culture to call anyone who lives in the country a redneck--but it's not that bad.
I don't know, I've seen Confederate flags everywhere except ME, so I went with Maine. I'm not saying Maine doesn't have those type of people, I've just encountered them less there.
Really? Where in Central / Western Massachusetts did you go?
Unless anything that's white working class = redneck, I find it hard to believe.
Massachusetts has far more rednecks than anyone who hasn't been there could imagine. Just drive a few miles south of Boston..If you need specific examples, Holbrook which is a couple towns removed from Boston is a classic poster child for Redneck towns.

Yeah - there are a few kids in Connecticut who sport them Confederate Flags. But they're all phonies - they grew up in center stair colonials on Wisteria Lane like neighborhoods. LOL

There's a difference between white trash and redneck.

It has white working class areas that are a bit run down, and lots of old mill towns. I never seen anything that was a "redneck" town.
While California is liberal, I get the feeling there are still a lot of redneck type people (good or bad, whatever your opinion is of them), especially in places like the Central Valley,

NYS itself seems pretty conservative for the NE though.
I'd probably go with Mass or Vermont.
define the term red - neck....as far as african american are concern they are caucasian that want to oppress and commit genocide on the african american race because of the color of theirs skin.
hawaii and new mexico has the least amount of red necks out west.
Definitely not California, no matter how you define "redneck." People think it's all like S.F. or L.A., but most of it is not. Pickup trucks, rodeos, and country music are all hugely popular in Central California, for example.
I would guess a state that might be mostly urban or at least have a larger percentage of urban area than rural area. I picked New Jersey but could be wrong.
Wyoming, by far the least people in the country, and if only 75% of them are rednecks thats 300,000, probably the least of any state.
