Portland is more authentically granola munching, dread-lock wearing hippie than SF and Seattle which are bastions of corporate-led yuppiedom, but many of these rich yuppies still haven't given up their habit of having a few reefers now and then to chill out from their busy schedule.
Wow I thought San Francisco was more your hippie city , Portland more your hipsters and preppy city and Seattle your rock and roll and grunge.
You not going see guys and girls in band t-shirts like Seattle in Portland or San Francisco.
And yes if I believe on west coast it is San Francisco and San Diego have the highest drug use and drugs there where on the east coast it is Baltimore and the state of Florida.

Oh god no, there is nothing preppy aboout Portland at all! Boston maybe, but not in the Northwest.
I've been in the Bay Area for a couple of months on business now. San Franciscans old or young smoke that wacky tobaccy right outdoors in front of everybody! lol

San Fran, hands down. The best mj I've ever smoked and I believe myself to be quite knowledgible in that matter .
Amsterdam didn't even compare in quality. But that was a fukkin cool place to visit even if the gear wasn't that great. But there was tons of it. Just look at the menu and pick your strain.

Dealers in Golden Gate park deal kind bud, and I swear I could pick out 2-3 strains in the air just walking down the streets in SF. It was stunning. I lived in some other stoners places like Madison WI and Burlington VT, but nothing was like SF.
