Taking the largest metro out of each states, which would still maintain relevant?

Which would have better schools, shopping, economy, QOL, ect.

I'm guessing you didn't see the part where it's specifically asked to ignore the largest metro, or the other two states or the thread of which this thread is based from (http://www.city-data.com/forum/city-...-virginia.html)

No wonder you're having a hard time with Atlanta.

If you took the biggest city (not metro) out of TN we would hardly notice (sorry steve). But the country would notice because they no longer got packages or car parts or those convenient dollar stores that dot every rural highway.

But seriously - do you think I want to up and move to NC just because it has more bigger metros? I wonder if you are unconciously unhappy with your move and trying to rationalize here.

NC and VA have the distinction that their largest metros aren't the capital. NoVA doen't even seem like it's part of VA so I'll say VA.
