So, I got into a debate with a friend. He was telling me a mutual friend of ours is stuck in a small town and wants to live in a city that feels like "Gotham". Can any city in the U.S. besides Chicago or NY pass off as Gotham? Personally, I think the answer is no. If you you believe another city can pass off as Gotham explain why.
I was talking about the size, architecture, skyline etc.

It wouldn't be that hard to give Detroit a Gothamist vibe to it. Just look at it from a few angles in the right light. But definitely Chicago and New York pull it off better because of their sizes and New York especially because of all the spires and pointed building tops.
