What do you think? I think there are a hand full of cities that people really seem to like on the forum and others not so much. I limited it to cities over 1 million in metro population just to narrow the list down. I based my list on polls and comments that I've seen on City Data. I didn't include all cities over 1 million and my list is in no order.

Most Liked:
-New York City
-Chicago
-Seattle
-Boston
-San Francisco
-San Diego

Inbetween:
-Philadelphia
-Houston
-Los Angeles
-Portland
-Denver
-Minneapolis/St. Paul
-Dallas/Fort Worth
-Charlotte
-Atlanta
-Washington DC

Least Liked:
-Phoenix
-San Jose
-Orlando
-St. Louis
-Las Vegas
-Miami
-Baltimore
-Detroit
-Cleveland
-Oklahoma City

Would anyone like to agree/disagree?

Miami and Las Vegas get liked as party in the sun vacation spots, but sometimes looked down on for places to live--more so Las Vegas than Miami. Though I'd say Miami is in the middle of the pack--I don't think in general people have a less favorable view of Miami than other Southeastern cities like Houston or Atlanta--and probably not Charlotte either... Miami Beach alone seems well-liked...

Oklahoma City belongs at the bottom of that list. Jacksonville and Phoenix, while usually despised, are praised as if they were San Francisco when compared to OKC. It would be interesting to see who would win a Detroit vs OKC matchup. My guess is it would be Detroit by a long shot.

Phoenix maybe, but Jacksonville is at least almost as hated as OKC.

Its kind of sad because OKC is really not a bad city. Bricktown has really come alive the last few years and there are some really nice historic neighborhoods just outside downtown.

There was a Jacksonville vs OKC thread recently and it was probably the only thread I've seen on here where Jacksonville got near unanimous praise.

With a caveat--it was mostly related to its location near the coast, not for the actual city itself.
