And to read comparisons of just NYC to the entire Bay Area makes me laugh.

2012 Population
New York City 8,336,000
Bay Area CSA 7,668,000

Okay, so NYC should win in raw numbers right? No, not really.

Households Earning $200,000+ Annually
Bay Area CSA 330,510.....12.1% of all households
New York City 204,222......6.6% of all households

I mean really, you should stick to categories you win like density and train ridership. Departing into categories and city vs csa comparisons is like asking for a smackdown. Who does that?

lol

Bayarrhea

When a group of San Franciscans get together to congratulate themselves on how proud they are to live in the best place on Earth. Bayarrhea often occurs when people need reassurance of their decision to live in the Bay Area, as most people (at least before the Internet boom) did not move there for work, but rather just because of the appealing lifestyle.

Urban Dictionary: Bayarrhea

Evidently you do. Clearly you OR someone else from the West or maybe the person from Texas mentioned the entire Bay Area. Lol pathetic of course. . . . It's always the same song with you. No one from this side mentioned the Bay Area first.

You're like a little dog that won't stop humping a chair/leg.

New York is the King. You can bring up every percentage you have and that still wouldn't change the perception of the average person/someone who doesn't care about statistics. Deal.

And lol at how this is sooo different from GAWC alpha, beta, gamma rankings and the other opinion-based finance industry rankings. A ranking of where the world's elite actually LIVES catapults SF and LA into an echelon the pecking order fondlers probably hate, but talk is cheap at the end of the day, show us the money.

lol

New York is the world's favorite city: Poll

The Big Apple is the top banana.

New York ranks as the world's favorite city, beating out the likes of London, Paris, Sydney and everywhere else, according to a new poll from Ipsos MORI, which surveyed more than 18,000 people in 24 countries.

New York was followed by London at No. 2 and Paris at No. 3, with Abu Dhabi and Sydney rounding out the top five, the poll said.

Yes it is pathetic to compare NYC to the entire Bay Area as the Bay Area wins.

More melodrama.

No one notices the Bay Area Montclair.

You are never mentioned with the elites no matter what you say/post to help you sleep at night.
When people say The Big 4 the Bay Area and/or SF and Oakland didn't make that list. Sorry =/

Your percentages and witty little remarks are all amazing but international tourist and numbers don't follow through with your claims.

SF is an amazing city and is very influential, but comparing it to even just Manhattan seems futile...

Yawns. The world invests more money in the Bay Area than anywhere but NY and maybe Tokyo and possibly London.

Your 401k definitely notices us. (Blows you a kiss)

I prefer being richer than all of them.

LOL someone seems a tad upset that their kingly self image is not the same perception had by others

And word to the wise. SF is the last city on the planet to try and be snobby against. We learn snobbery in kindergarten.
