I didn't vote last round but I would have been the one person that picked Providence over Philly. Lots of unique world cuisines, great traditional Italian, plenty of great chefs(many local Johnson and Wales grads), and most importantly to me, more emphasis on farm to table than Philly. I also think San Antonio has better food than Miami albeit without the amount of variety.. quality over quantity baby!

I think Providence is a great smaller, underrated city, and certainly you are entitled to your preferences, but I just did not understand the food remark -- there really isn't a major city that does not have a good local foods/farm-to-table scene nowadays. It's not really "trendy" anymore -- it's the norm.

I would say that is accurate for the most part however, you havent spent much time around Tampa it seems. I wont debate this further as I believe you are correct.
