Boston-A 32 year old white man that is quite successful at his company even though he is young. Goes to coffee shops.
Worcester-A 50 year old drug dealer that has never had a job and keeps getting evicted for not paying rent.
Springfield-A 60 year old that lives in a house with his children and grandchildren. No one in the house makes much money but since so many live together, they are able to put their money together.
Cape Cod-A 15 year old that will end up leaving after high school and never coming back because there aren't many opportunities.
Brilliant! You seemed to describe the Texas "family dynamic" perfectly.

Fort Worth was more subdued. Started out humbly in more blue collar jobs but worked his way up as well, went into management but in less flashy businesses. Amassed some wealth but chose not to wear it so loudly. Is actually smarter than his flashier brother, is more well read, but has the ability to dress down and hang with the ordinary guys his brother looks down on.

St. Louis is an old man. He's seen many good days, and many bad ones. He's ready to begin making this city better for his children, but he's not sure how. He has many children. Most live in the suburbs now. When he was young he worked in the factories, producing clothing, cars, anything you can think of. Most of all, he made beer. Since the 50s his life has declined. His children and most of his friends have moved out to the suburbs, or to another state. They feel some sorrow, but mostly contempt, for their old father. They think he is sick, poor, and dirty. He tried to be a good father, but his children spurned him. He understands why they left, but the pain hurts no less. The old man sheds a tear before bed. He lost his wife years ago. She died of a broken heart. Her heart broke for her husband. Yes, the Old Man is not perfect. Never has been. He's made some bad choices in his life. He's had everything taken from him. His brother across the river died a few years ago. He died a slow death. And nobody cared. Old Man St. Louis wants another chance. He made mistakes, but he never meant to hurt anyone. Others generally ignored or disdained him. He wasn't glamorous, or rich, or sunny. Most considered him poor, classless, or dirty. He doesn't have shiny new clothes like Chicago does. He doesn't have the "bling bling" like New York. He doesn't have the mystique of Hollywood. But he has hope. He has hope that his children will someday return to him.
Until then, he just cries. He sits alone next to his great river. He remenisces in the olden days. The World's Fair, all those ballgames, bustling Downtown. He wants to go back. He wants to start again. He can't. All he can hope is that his children will make it better.
That scares me because in some ways(not the old man, children, and classless dirty part, but the person who has seen better days and wants those days back), this describes me.

I wonder what city could be this person?: Nerdy, African-American male in his early 20's. Kind of slight of stature. Misunderstood by many due to his defying every stereotype. Known for booksmarts, but his Achilles heel is social skills(and or common sense).

Probably some suburban town of Seattle (Tacoma, Bellevue, Redmond, etc) or Washington DC (Silver Spring, Alexandria, Bethesda, etc)
