Seattle is not world class.

Texas cities already don't win polls on this site. I'm sure you know this.

Seattle vs Dallas would be a better comparison. Austin along with San Antonio flies under the radar.

That's because Texas cites are all regrettably, in Texas.
You can't separate the city and the state.

Seattle, Portland, Denver all get 10 free points on the board simply for being in geographically interesting locations.

Texas cities, along with most of the midwest cites are for true city dwellers.
Everyone has a bike path on a river walk or some water body where I can drop a boat. I think most Millennials are looking for something a little more.

Although, the bats under the Congress bridge are pretty cool.

But yet all the Texas cities are growing faster than Seattle.

That's very true, but not because of a coolness factor. Orlando is also growing faster than Seattle.

Ask any Millennial what they're interested in and most will answer - A Job!

That's because of jobs and cheaper houses. In a world where the majority if people have little money, the fastest growing regions will always be the cheapest one that offers the most potential for job security. If it were all about living in our most desired locations, then we'd all own a condo on the beach in Hawaii. Aloha!
