There's a lot of stupid people out there that are willing to wear clothing that makes them look foolish. I saw a guy yesterday wearing a shirt that said "Get Money, Spend Money, Repeat". Might as well say "I don't know how to save and I live hand to mouth".
I don't get why people would purposely buy shirts that make them look foolish or make them look bad in any way. Even if they are stupid, why would they want to advertise that?

Nobody was saying LA is ahead of Bay Area, NYC, or BOS when it comes to tech funding. There were posters who said they pay no mind to the tech scene in LA -- which is ignorance on their part since it's a part of the city's economy that is doing quite well.

There's also a huge software developer shortage in LA right now. Its great for those of us that are consultants, or those that are currently job hunting. Its musical chairs right now with a lot of people switching jobs to get that 10-15k salary bump.

That is true. I'm getting recruiting calls every week for new positions -- all Westside based companies. I guess that means I should believe the bias on these boards that I'm a total dumb ass for living in LA?
There's that whole other thread on which city is more influential, where LA is getting bashed for not being the financial capital that NYC is.
Because no one if influenced by the TV, film, created in LA, of course. People are only influenced by money.
Right I forgot -- New York generated money is somehow more more ethical and respectable than LA generated money
