I like WV and am not crazy about MS, but the Ohio Valley region is polluted and nasty. Plus the winters are too much for me. Hattiesburg is decent, so I'll go with it.
Slidell, LA or Galveston, TX?
Galveston because of proximity to Houston.... even tho Galveston isn't particularly beautiful.
Philadelphia barely. Both cities are run down and dirty full of vagrants, but Philly is cheaper with more history.
Pittsburgh, PA or Houston, TX?
Houston, TX in a heartbeat. Anywhere near the coast will always get my vote. While I think some Houston homers on this site are a bit much, it’s still a great city that doesn’t get it’s just due.

Memphis, TN or Baton Rouge, LA?
Collierville because it is the nicest suburb. I could not live in either city.
Chattanooga. I like its location better. Less expensive.
Tucson, AZ or Colorado Springs, CO?
Tucson... I think Colorado Springs is a little more family-friendly, but I prefer Tucson's layout and I like the large university presence as well. I'd be very happy in either place though.

Nacogdoches, TX or Abilene, TX?
I've been through Nacogdoches, on the way to visit relatives in Lufkin, the next city down the road. I'm not familiar at all with Abilene, but I don't think it's in the piney woods of East Texas.
I like Lufkin more than I do Nacogdoches, but since it wasn't on offer, and Nacogdoches is in those pinelands, Nacogdoches.
I really like Pittsburgh, and 84 is close enough to make it tempting.
I assume you meant 96, SC which is in the upstate region.
I'll pick 96 since it's in the South.
Las Cruces, NM or Bend, OR?
