Garden District in New Orleans or Buckhead in Atlanta
The Garden District. Oozes old-money charm out of every pore.

Chestnut Hill, Mass., or Chestnut Hill (Philadelphia), Pa.?

Chestnut Hill, PA. I lived in Boston at one time. You get much more home for the $$$ in the Philadelphia area and I prefer Philly metro to Boston metro.

Albuquerque, NM or Greenville, SC?

Probably Albuquerque. I really enjoyed my time there when I had layovers as a flight attendant.

Montpelier, VT or Kalispell, MT?

Montpelier...... I think it would be glorious in the spring, summer, and especially fall. Easy road trip to bigger and more exciting cities like Boston, Portland.

Colorado Springs or Des Moines.

I'll take the more cosmopolitan Des Moines

Greenville MI, or Greenville OH?

Based on location alone, MI. I'd rather be outside Grand Rapids than twice as far and only getting to Dayton. Plus I'd rather be in Michigan in general.

Hilo, HI or San Juan, PR?

Hilo, HI, although you'd have to get used to the isolation. Probably too hot/humid for me, eventually.

Lansing, MI vs. Augusta, ME

Augusta. I hear bad things about Lansing (crime) and would rather not live in Michigan in general unless it was the upper peninsula or northern lower peninsula.

Roseau, MN or Newport, VT?

Newport, VT, much closer to home and close enough to Jay Peak to hit the slopes on a frequent basis. Lake Mephremagog is a really beautiful lake.

Maui or the Big Island, Hawaii?

I'd go with Maui. Both smallish populations and isolated, but I found Maui to be more beautiful. If you're going to be isolated in Hawaii, take the prettiest option...

Altoona, PA or Morgantown, WV?
