Why is San Antonio not listed on the Hispanic list? I would think that it would be near a million

I was thinking the same for Charlotte concerning Hispanic population and African American. I'm wondering if it's just the top 21 in the country based on general population.

It was just odd not seeing San Antonio on the list. With 1.2 million Hispanic it would be right behind DFW and Phoenix in the top ten.

But I see your point. If you add SA you might as well add the valley, if you add the valley you might as well add El Paso, if you add El Paso you might as well add a dozen other places that may qualify for one listing but not overall in population.

There has to be a cutoff. But by MSA SA is about the same size as Portland, Cleveland, Orlando so presenting population data is kinda tricky

Odd List. Cincinnati and Columbus has a black population 4 times higher than Portland.

Dubious. How did MSP go from 5.7% (8th place) to 3.6% (38th) in 4 years?

I realize that accurate numbers on LGBT populations are hard to come by, but c'mon...

Another ghey city... San Diego.

True...in addition to NYC, Chicago, DC, Miami, Houston, and pretty much every major city.

I would be willing to bet that Atlanta is WAY higher than 4.2%. It's a gay magnet for the southeast. Anyway, thanks for posting these interesting stats.
The LGBT percentages come from Gallup survey data so they aren't accurate - at all. The Gallup numbers have been said to be overestimated in many areas and some areas, way overestimated. The U.S. Census Bureau documents the number of individuals living in same-sex households and that is probably a little more accurate.

Because Gallup only surveyed those living in Michele Bachmann's district.
