The idea for this thread is simple enough, and I'm hoping it hasn't been done before. Simply post the city who's climate you think you'd enjoy the most, then post the historical monthly averages. I'll start it off:

Mexico City:
Jan. Feb. Mar. Apr. May June July Aug. Sept. Oct. Nov. Dec.
71 74 78 80 80 78 75 75 74 73 73 71
45 47 51 54 56 56 55 55 55 52 50 47

33 inches of rain
Average humidity: 56%

Sure, I might long for some variance after a while, but, there are several different climates somewhat close to here.

Mexico City also has some of the best smog in the world.

True. But I'm sure the outskirts are very nice to escape to, and I've heard it's gotten better.

When I lived in the SF Bay Area, I was really impressed with the micro-climates there. Could be on the coast with brisk temperatures in the 50's to 60's, then drive to one of the valley's (Napa for example) and have 90+ temperatures. Its a relatively small area that houses a wide array of ecosystems.

A close second would be South Florida. The summers are Hot, but that doesn't bother me. The winters are perfect.

Really? The last headline news piece I remember reading about Mexico City was about it's bad smog.

Honolulu says hi.

Also, while not perfect, the coastal US South cities (Houston, New Orleans, Miami, etc) come very close to my ideals; warm, humid summers, complete with tropical rainstorms to set the mood, with nice, sunny winters.

I would like someplace with a lot of thunderstorms, without high humidity, low number of sunny days, and all the four seasons, leaves change color, though not too much snow/ice. Not sure if a city with that climate exists. Maybe somewhere in the Great Plains north of DFW, which in my opinion has too many sunny days and is a tad too humid for my tastes (more snow/ice and thunderstorms would also be great). Anyone know of a city like that?
