With the economy tanking I think this can be a lifesaver.

As a homeless my first consideration is the weather. I'd rather be a homeless in Key West, FL (tropical) than in any city above the four-seasons zone. I've lived in Key West (no, not as a homeless...I made sure I had a job before I went there). If you need money...just hang out at the Florida State Employment Office (I used to work there) where you can stand in line to wait for folks passing by looking for day laborers to hire. Most homeless do day labor work...get paid cash...and move on. I met one who lived under a bridge. Didn't have to worry about freezing. When I was in Key West...there were already lots of homeless in town; competition might be tight now, though. Still...I'd rather be warm in Key West than freeze in Chicago...or elsewhere it gets very cold.

Default what a world....

it amazes me that part of the thrill of this thread is how there are a lot of us that
are sort of thinking, like "when I become homeless Im gonna move here"...
almost like it would just kind of be a different change something different.
I saw one poster say they couldn't stand the homeless because they urinated at the
front of his apt building. I will say, have you ever been to a city and like needed
to go to the bathroom, and there is like none??? That would be a nice start for homeless,
is actually treat them like human beings...
that same person said they felt bad when the tourists at Fishermans wharf were basically
bombarded by homeless, and they were like shocked.
I could only think, I wonder if its the same feeling like when a person has worked their whole life
only to lose everything and then be standing in front of a super nice housing development, and
the same shocked feeling.
Sadly, this country has stressed us out, by making average humans, work their souls off, until they are
beat up. old, and can't give anything and in return, this country can then spit you out....Not always, but
a lot of the time..
I was talking with a friend of mine I met last year, and he told me he was a millionaire, he was now working for the sewer in NY so him and his wife would atleast have health insurance. He was about 65, but was afraid to not have insurance. I said, geeez, you think now you could just not have to work, and enjoy your life, travel, etc..., but sadly I kinda get the feeling this guy never will. Its almost like a sickness
in this country, they have brainwashed us, they meaning the super rich, brainwashed us into thinking with
fear that if we don't work until the day we die, we will end up in a terrible situation, AKA, homeless.
Keep in mind that approx. 95% (this could be alittle off, Im to tired to look it up but you get the idea),
of the world live on less than a dollar per day,
and you tell me what is wrong with this picture????
