I didn't say you did. But you implied Minneapolis was doing something right. I just used Cleveland as an example of how systems can rise and decline, based on the cities they exist in. It's not just Minneapolis 'doing something right.'
Minneapolis light rail really isn't great. Unless you want to go to a Twins game and drink. Then yeah it's ok.

Well if you live in Boston, what other reason would you have to use it, other than go to the airport. The intercity commuters who use it daily for work and other transportation purposes would disagree with you.

In Boston you can live without a car, and many people do because the T rail system is so comprehensive... Cleveland's RTA isn't the T, but for a city of it's size and density, RTA is a very good system... And I also know people in Cleveland that don't own a car -- they can afford one, but don't want nor need one. Downtown, Ohio City and University Circle/Little Italy are especially good car-less neighborhoods. There is quality rail service backed up by 24-hour buses in case you want stay out drinking but miss the last train.

Quality public transportation is about much, much more than obnoxious, self absorbed millenials puking in the street at 3:00 a.m. and then expecting to hop onto an LRT train.

Ehh not sure they would disagree. I use the T in Boston. It sucks. Just because you have something doesn't mean it's any good. MPLS light rail just isn't any good. Don't worry, light rail by definition is typically not any good (glorified bus but without ability to maneuver around traffic).

So your beef is really less about transportation and more about class envy?

The T in Boston has its issues but I would bet it has a much higher percentage of choice riders than just about any transit system in the country outside of NYC.

While some upper, middle class might use the system to get to their entertainment destination (ie stadium) OR TO WORK, most who use the system are lower and middle-class. Both the Green and Blue lines go through some of the poorest neighborhoods in Minneapolis and St. Paul. I'm not sure what your beef is. Do you think a transit system should serve only one demographic. Should a transit system not connect stadiums?
You come off as though you've been on the Blue and/or Green lines, but I'm doubtful.
BTW, I'm not a huge fan of light-rail either, but you take what you can get in Minnesota.
