Seattle is like a mini SF that is high tech wannabe when Amazon and Microsoft are the only major high tech companies in town. Seattle can't never carry SF jockstrap, never ever.

Huge difference between SF and Seattle: SF is a true world class city, and Seattle is totally not. SF is cosmopolitan and so international while Seattle lacks diversity and international appeal. SF is a world cosmopolitan international city. Seattle is mainly a regional city.

I love how "The Topper" posts several times in a row, like he keeps forgetting to include things and has to add on.

I've spent significant time in both cities. Both cities are very, very similar with SF being bigger, denser, and dirtier.

I prefer Seattle but I have love for SF too.
SF, bigger than Seattle? No way! You're talking about SF, the city; not SF, the region, as some people do? SF is squeezed onto a tiny peninsula. Seattle is a long, string-bean of a city covering at least 3 times the area of SF.

WHAT?! What cuisine does Seattle even have? I'd like to know. SF has been known for good, fresh seafood for generations, btw. You can't get the kind of fine dining in Sea. that you can in SF. No way, no how.

Seattle is a world class city, this really isn't a question. There's a lot of delusion on full display here.

Even Seattle Times admitted that Seattle is no way a world class city.https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=...zeX2zTnrwt_Quwhttps://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=...MsWzF9XCvfW2UA

Well you have the shapes right. Seattle is just a bit less than 2x the land area of SF (83 sqm vs 46)

Seattle should definitely be given more credit in this thread, but I wouldn't call it "World Class" yet. There are a few larger US cities I personally wouldn't classify as World Class either.

I think you have to go "national class", then "continental class", then "hemisphere class" before you can go "world class". I mean, Seattle is only at continental class. San Fran is probably somewhere around hemisphere class. For example, people may know about SF in Italy, but they just don't respect it enough to get that "world class" taste in their bocche.
