You're right...according to the poll numbers, it is not really even close. Sorry the evidence doesn't support your Indianapolis narrative. That must really bother you. But it's really not that hard to imagine. Vegas (like Indy) isn't everyone's cup of tea. Outside the strip, Vegas is not that special. If you're a fan of cities in the traditional sense, Indy certainly offers more. I agree with most who would say that Vegas is probably the more exciting place to vacation, but Indy would be better to live in.

Indianapolis is also growing, and there is nothing that leads anyone to believe it won't also "continue to have a bright future". What cultural and entertainment options, outside the strip, does Vegas have that you won't find in most midsize cities? Vegas doesn't even have an art museum anymore (it closed in 2009 due to a lack of funding), the orchestra there is a joke, and there are no professional sports teams. The weather is nice (though it gets oppressively hot), but that's not for everyone. And what does "class status" mean? Are you suggesting that a poor person in Vegas has a higher class status than an Irsay or Simon here in Indy based solely on geography? This is not to disparage Vegas, as I've had great times there, but rather to point out your continued lack of objectivity on this forum regarding Indianapolis. You are perhaps the biggest offender of the pervasive "groupthink" narrative on these boards that would have everyone believe that Indianapolis offers no redeeming qualities, when you've never once provided any insight or evidence to suggest that you've even stepped foot in the city.
