Sure! Here you go:

Foreign Born in Haiti as of 2019:
Miami/Fort Lauderdale - 248,411
New York - 162,852
Boston - 55,120
Orlando - 42,841
Atlanta - 14,012
Tampa - 11,080
Philadelphia - 10,898
Washington DC - 8,065
Providence - 7,085
Chicago - 3,860
Houston - 3,602

Haitians really just prefer the East Coast. Even LA only had about 2,500.

Surprised Houston and Chicago are nearly identical. Supposively at some point in the 2000s decade there wasn’t even 1000 Haitians in Greater Houston. There’s a service company that’s been bringing them by the “masses (by West of Mississippi standards)” to the area. Interesting to see how that will hold up now that restrictions aren’t as eased for Haitian immigrants as they used to be.

What company is this? I’m surprised that Houston is on the board for Haitians.

I’m not surprised. Ive been running into them all the time here lately. Although to be fair it’s part of my field of work. For their privacy, I can’t say the name. But it’s a Houston based company that supplies employment to the hospitality field. And they bring Haitians here and send them throughout. Even to Louisiana casino resorts.

Their impact is huge, though. I used to never run into a single Haitian in Lake Charles, now it’s not rare at all. They don’t solely employ Haitians, though. They employ many Filipinos and Central Americans as well for example. But the past 4-5 years, they’ve soecifically focused in Haiti.

Each of these countries, there’s a reason they employ. Filipinos are due to an internship opportunity they offer. Haiti was due to lesser immigration restrictions. But they’ve recently stricken it for Haitians, so I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s a pause there.

Well 3600 out of 7.2 million isn’t much but I’m not terribly surprised.

Houston seems next in line for Caribbean’s after Atlanta.

I wonder if you got numbers on Houston and Atlanta’s Caribbean population. I definitely felt like I ran into a lot more in Atlanta than Houston. Seems like more than half moved from Florida or NY/NJ too.

I can get those next time I’m in front of a computer. Atlanta for sure has way more Caribbean’s than Houston, but Houston does seem to be making itself the center for Caribbean immigrants went of the Mississippi. Of course that’s non Hispanic Caribbean’s. There’s a lot more Cubans in Houston than Atlanta.

Exactly. We are speaking relatively here. If you compare Houston to the East Coast, it’s nothing. But if you compare Houston to anything else west of the Mississippi, it’s a lot.

But I can confirm the same agencies bringing the Haitians to Houston is also bringing them to Louisiana and Alabama. They’re also part of the reason (but not the only) for the growing Puerto Rican population.

Speaking of hospitality, I’ve heard that Haitians are employed by the Pappadeaux locations here in Houston.

I’ve heard that Jamaicans are moving to Houston the same reason why Nigerians are moving to Houston: weather. I haven’t been to either place, so I take their words for it. It’s been brought to my attention a few times that Lagos and Houston have the exact same weather.
