Yeah, it actually has a surprising amount.

Miami was the first city that came to mind. LA (inc nearby cities) also. Manhattan and Brooklyn have some great ones. DC and Chicago would probably round out my top 5.

I think a ranking on this will have people talking in circles as people will name cities that they have more experience or familiarity with. Pretty much every major city has an huge abundance of roof top bars nowadays and it's going to become more popular as time goes on.

This thread calls for more pictures! One of the most unique rooftop bars I've seen is in Philadelphia, actually pretty removed from Center City, called Bok Bar.

It's former South Philly high school turned into a bunch of micro-entrepreneurial spaces and a very popular rooftop bar, with fantastic views of the cityscape:

Wow, that place looks amazing. I love spots like that!

I don’t know about that. There are only a handful of cities in America that reach the 40+ rooftop count. Finding a ton of places that are exposed to the sky where you can sit outside on the roof and purchase food or beverages in city limits is pretty rare. Most cities in America only have a handful.

Not all rooftop bars need to be 40+ stories to enjoy the sky or views.

Even in a city with the most and many higher floor rooftops 5 of my NYC favorites are 12th floor Dream Hotel downtown, 13th floor Refinery, 18th floor Broken Shaker at Freehand Hotel, 20th floor 230 5th (killer view of Empire State Building) and 22nd floor Westlight at William Vale (awesome views and ambiance of the Manhattan skyline from Brooklyn).
