Agreed 90 degrees in dry heat is nice, 90 degrees in a place like Atlanta is literally hell on Earth. Not only is it hot, but you can't really wear any type of dress clothing for fear of turning into a walking rag.

Anyone who prefers the heat of the south east over the south west is just plain crazy. Additionally it gets alot colder at night in the southwest even when it gets hot during the day. At least there is some relief.

Humidity is never bearable when it's 94 degrees
Dry and 105 is more bearable.

The Southeast is the miserable one

Trust me, it was horrible! I had to shower a ton and drink ~20 beers a day in order to keep hydrated!

That's sound logic, right?

I'd say the Southeast based on what I read in this link

Heat index - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

According to that calculation an average summer day in Phoenix would have a heat index of 98, while an averag summer day in Miami would have a heat index around 110.....add 15 degrees to either on a sunny day.... 125 on an average sunny summer day in Miami.......and it's worse here on the Gulf coast then it is on the Atlantic coast....same humidity and higher temps....

Still better than Arabia though....record heat index of 172...

Neither, I'd take both, over the miserable unbearable winter weather of the northeast or the midwest.

I agree, none of this dry heat humid is nearly as bad as -40 degrees. I'd take 100 ANYDAY, at least I can go out at when it's cooler. But when it's that cold DURING THE DAY then THAT sucks.

Las Vegas is brutal--not only you have to deal with prostitutes passing out erotic flyers while your family is strolling down the strip during the late-afternoon/evening hours and smoking even inside the casino (I'm starting to wish for California laws--Too bad the entire state of Nevada isn't part of California), but the heat is unrelenting even in the middle of the night (Palmdale is much better since it actually cools down at night).

Add to that the dryness which cracks (and bleeds) your skin which lotion and showering doesn't remedy and the idiocy of the road builders to pave with asphalt instead of concrete (I was worried about the tires popping on my rental car; at least the sidewalks are concrete, otherwise your soles will melt into the asphalt).

Outside of Coastal California, the weather in the West is the most brutal in North America!

The humidity makes it very hard to wear dress clothes. I can vouch for that personally. I don't have a car, so this means I tend to walk around(I used to ridea bicycle until an unfortunate accident). I could wash my clothes, wash in a strong soap, wear anti-perspirant/deodorant and after 10 minutes of walking around in the GA heat, I would sweat and the deodorant would have very little effect. I would have to head for the restroom and wash up again. Furthermore, the humid heat can make one very mean. I sat in the tailgate of a truck one June afternoon. The temperature reached 100 degrees and it was humid. I sat there because there was no room elsewhere. By the time the middle of the afternoon was around, I was very grumpy and nasty. I believe it was a combination of the heat and humidity combined with being overheated and underhydrated. After a took a cold shower, I was nice and relaxed again. It rained that night and I(as well as a few other students) went out and danced in the rain. That is one reason I like rain.
