Let me first start off by saying that the intent of this thread is not to bash other cities. Personally, I find all major American cities interesting. However, there are undoubtedly places that do not appeal to me as a place to live. Therefore, if your city is mentioned, please don't be too offended.
With that being said, what cities would you least like to live in (city proper)?

My top 5 (or bottom 5) would be:

(1) Detroit
(2) Oakland, CA
(3) Kansas City
(4) Minneapolis
(5) Jacksonville

Top 5 no order

Detroit (a beautiful wreck. By beautiful i mean like some drop dead gorgeous, often abandonned (hense the 'wreck') architecture. has the most potential in the Us and i feel if it could come back would be incredibly beautiful like it once was)
Indianapolis (i found the city to be a bit bland and boring. liked the circle though)
Des Moines (its very boring for me, although it has possibly the best statehouse in the US)
Wichita (not bad but very just in the middle of nowhere, dead kind of feeling to it)
Jackson (also some really nice architecture actually, but very dying. if it came to life again i think it would be beautiful)

I said Detroit because of the crime and dilapidation; oakland for crime and ghettoesqness; Kansas City for boredom; Minneapolis for cold; Jacksonville for boredom.

Ahhhh yes!!! People agree that Kansas City is in the top 5 least liveable cities. I've lived here for nearly 20 years and couldn't agree more. It is very boring here.

My bottom five (not in order):
1. My hometown: Kansas City- just boring.
2. Detroit- economy and run-down
3. Newark- while you do have a decent city, the crime I view is some of the worst I've heard of
4. Miami- the people, oh man, rude sometimes!
5. Oakland- the crime

It is also theoretically possible to be a politician and not corrupt.
