I'm curious, what's better, SoCal or SoFlo(I don't know if they call it that). If you think SoCal is better, is Orange County or LA County better?

I would say South Florida (biased but hey, whaddya expect?) - but both seems nice. Although earthquakes...i don't think I could deal with that kind of unpredictability.
