Why do you want it closed? No one is forcing you to come in and check the poll every 1.5 hrs to make sure NYC doesn't lose a totally opinion based poll.

must be that "east coast sarcasm" which in the short span of the existence of the internet...has never remotely been conveyed in an understandable way...

if by "phantom voting" you mean creating new accounts just to vote, well no i don't do that. from what i understand, the mods will ban you for having to many accounts. i'm not taking the chance and besides, why would i need to? most people are going to pick NYC over LA anyway.

I got to admit, when I first read the topic, I initially thought LA. I always thought of LA as the city of dreams. Because I was looking at it from someone breaking into Hollywood. I never actually considered that people dream of making it on Wall street and in live theatre, ballet, etc in New York. But of course they do. I love NY, anyone who knows me from this site knows that by now. I love LA too. So I am judging from a completely bias place. I would slightly have to go with LA on this one. However, I can see why many would choose NY as well. I just always envisioned LA as the city where dreams are made. Having said all that, I can see how either city could make a great case to win this poll.

yea, i can see that. j/k. but i see what your saying. i guess more people would associate that with hollywood, but take hollywood out of the equation and what do you have? i mean, nyc doesn't have to depend on just one neighborhood to be called the city of dreams. but, LA is still a close second in my book.
