I don't understand why either, seeing that northerners are moving down here in droves.

Raleigh/Durham NC is a great place to live and the weather isn't bad either. Very family oriented area. Unemployment rate isn't as high as rest of country.

Is family oriented area a more politically correct way to say, the nightlife sucks? :/

I picked the south and I'm from the west...I enjoy the culture, food and history and things are really geared for kids, more family oriented I think, and no, that's not my pc way of saying the nightlife sucks!

I have lived in Seattle most of my time in the states but like it in the south better. More culture and more history. Otherwise northern cities like NY and Boston really interest me. I would love to live in Boston. Seams like an amazing place.
