Califonia=Most overrated state in c-d
Regarding Surfing.

Ever heard of Mavericks, Cortes Bank, some of the biggest surf on this planet, on the west coast.

Not saying Hawaii is west coast, it sure isn't east coast, but if you include them, GAME OVER.

Wow! This is becoming a joke.

Some of you from a certain region (not naming any names) seem to throw temper tantrums like little children when things don't seem to "go your way". And on an internet poll on a message board of all things to get a hissy fit over.

There's an entire world outside of your region.

Agreed, it's not in CONUS.

But, a huge argument can be made, see West Coast of the United States - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

However, back to the point, nothing on the east compares to California's big waves. It's the Mecca for a reason. Hawaii is just gravy.

Maverick's waves at right height and sequence pretty much equals suicide to any novice. Nothing like surfing through outcropping obstacles while being propelled by ridiculous swells.

lol @ better skiing and surfing on east coast? If u want to argue better cities, more history, better transit, more political clout or something along those lines... but, seriously?... seriously? next will be better mountain climbing as well, then less humid.

East coast- Maine to Florida
West coast- Washington to California

East Coast is better simply because of the history, culture, and more cities.
