Lots of cities I've been to over a population of 100k, seemed to have a good selection of places to go to at night. A good mix of bars and clubs. If I want do dance, there are clubs. If I want to relax, there are pubs. If I want something different, there are hipster/metal/punk bars. Are there any cities over 100k that don't offer something like this?

I've always found Des Moines as being hard to find a decent bar. I was probably just lookingin the wrong places though.

Little Rock, Arkansas. This is a suburban "family values" town where the streets roll up at 8pm, and any place where there is activity after 8pm is somewhere you don't want to be.

I've been out relatively late in Little Rock. Granted, it was at a corporate bar (Flying Saucer), and it appeared to be the only bar around as far as the eye could see...
