i don't think that you need to be so literal there. so i guess technically, sacramento is not a west coast city?
generically, most educated people living in the united states realize that broad geographical areas of the country exist, and they are designated as the east coast and west coast. the south region is bound by the southern gulf coast and the lower southeastern atlantic coastal region. i, w/ regard to the northern region, believe the great lakes qualify as the northern coastal region. the east coast, however, is ultimately the tree from which all things america flow. in this sense, the east coast will never take a back seat to other regions of the country. krauthammar for president!
