I live in Newark and I couldn't give a rat's behind. Not exactly sure what terrorists would want to attack JC/NWK for.

Sometimes when I look up at the Sears the thought crosses my mind. . .

Not too often though. I suppose the passage of time slowly causes us to forget the terror of Sept. 11, 2001. I bet some people from New York City, especially those who witnessed the events, worry about terrorist attacks. At least more so than the rest of the nation.

What in the world would I want to blow up in Houston or Newark?(Haven't the people of Newark suffered enough already anyway?)

The nation as a whole worries about terror too much. At least in the context of foreign operatives coming tot he US. Now in the context of our own wackos, we have more than enough of them. It's almost non-surprising to me to read about some anti-government-recently-laid-off-white-supremacist going on a shooting spree.

I imagine that Houston could be a terrorist target due to the presence of NASA and the 2nd largest volume port in the U.S.

I doubt too many people actually live in fear of a terrorist attack...the chances of being the victim of one have to be very very slim.

I moved to LA after living in DC. I was surprised at the lack of attention paid to potential terrorism threats in LA. Mostly I noticed it while riding the Red Line (subway); in LA I got the feeling that a bag could sit around on the platform for a long time without anyone reporting it. I felt that people actually thought about terrorism in DC (no surprise, really), while it wasn't on the radar of most people in LA. I wouldn't necessarily say that it was an active fear of an attack in DC - more of an awareness that it was a possibility.

After 9/11 I thought about terrorists flying into the Sears tower, but that was relatively short lived.
