yes mississippi is known for its long coast line... a grand 44 miles.
meanwhile you have neighbors texas 367 miles and florida 1350 miles, louisiana 397 miles.

Hawaii and Alaska

EDIT: The Florida and Alaska comparison is a good one as well although both states are mostly peninsulas. I think that Hawaii is the slightly better opposite for Alaska because it's a tropical island chain. lol.
Demographically, Hawaii also has a very sizable presence of asians and blacks, both being relatively poorly represented in Alaska.

I think FL and Alaska are more opposites. Hawaii and Alaska are both mountainous, where as FL is completely flat and much hotter than HI.
