Makes sense. They are all good shows, I actually watch them frequently (there's no good sitcoms anymore.....)

Never heard it in Texas. I've heard it from Texans in N.O. and read it on these forums. They often claim it has enough culture to compete with N.O.

The only places I go to in Texas are Dallas and Houston, which is the only place I really like/care about in Texas.

The second list in this little experiment....

What first comes to mind when you hear the names of these 10 cities?

- San Diego- Surfing

- New Orleans- Katrina

- San Antonio- the alamo

- Washington D.C.- National Mall

- Austin- Heat? not a lot...

- San Jose- Huge city in California

- Atlanta- the weather channel

- Denver- Mountains

- Philadelphia- History

- Detroit- Motor city

I had troubles with... Austin, What is the significance of this city anyway?

Well truth be told, I've only been to Austin once.... And I've lived in Texas my whole life. So I can't really tell ya how it is.
I only see it as the biggest college town in America.

You can tell the ones that have never been to Denver pretty easily.

What ski area is there to ski at in Denver?

One could just as easily associate Los Angeles, Sacramento, Reno, Seattle, and countless other cities with skiing.
