I like the diversity in music nowadays. I can't rock with one city's style over another. Cause its individual to me. This year was great... Jay and Fab surprised me. I think NY is ready for a comeback... Houston rap got a flavor that I can vibe with sometimes. My friend from Texas forced it upon us and I must say its rather catchy. Not all songs are meant to be chopped and screwed though....
im tryna see. Did ny make a comeback? Commercial success with the blueprint and fabs album. The biggest song of the year is dedicated to the city. And raekwons cuban linx 2 restored the feelings and is classic. IDK despite all that ny has a little more to go
I have to say Atlanta has both the best and the worst. Because it also has the worst it's given a bad reputation by some who refuse to acknowledge that it also has some very very good artist.
Virginia Is on top of the hip hop world at the moment.
Trey Songz [hottest male R&B artist]
Chris Brown [controversial 2nd best male artist at the moment]
Timbaland [just released an album and is still producing mad hot songs for the entire hip hop world]
Pharell [making beats for everyone, hits like "I'm good"]
Clipse [just released "till the casket drops" which is IMO the best album of the year!]
Skillz [about to release the end of the year wrap up]
Wow... I didn't know Atl would be second on this list... Quite a shock honestly. Was expecting Chi-town 2 be there
I think a lot of folks vote for their city. Atlanta could easily be #1. most of the top selling artist from hip-hop R&B are from there, and most of the total artist are from there.
