As far as your original argument goes though, Houston is 600 sq miles. Boston and SF are both less than 50. So unless 11/12 of Houston is floodplain, it still beats the other cities for land area. And although Boston and SF are much more built up than Houston don't think they don't have significant sized parkland and industrial areas as well. Logan airport is within the city limits of Boston and takes up a pretty significant area.
I was comparing Houston more with the sizes of LA, Dallas, NY,etc than with Boston and SF.

Really?
No. In other words, City-Daters aren't exactly an authority on reality. These wildly unscientific City-Data polls reflect absolutely nothing but personal biases. But, pointing to these poll results as evidence does reflect low cognitive abilities.

How is Boston winning? Someone is doing something fishy.

I voted for San Francisco. I think it has an edge on Boston by just a bit.

Exactly. Boston is getting way too much credit.

The map doesn't back your claim. There's considerable development in much of the highlighted area nearby Houston. Sinking or not.

That isn't the purpose of the map. The map was showing off how bad flooding can get in Houston. It's pretty much a map of evacuation zones.

I wouldn't say that. Just that it seems funny that its beating SF in the poll. If anything, Houston does not belong in the poll.
