"Lost Angeles" doesn't qualify as a city. You can cross some states faster than cross this "city".

So don't make a thread and stick the term "world class" on it because it will have a lot of voters who have no clue what they're talking about. Don't call it world class, call it something else. That's just my opinion.
The question was written to elicit people's opinions, which as far as I know, people are entitled to express. Whether or not others agree, people are free to express their opinions about cities they haven't visited. And the person who began the thread is entitled to create a thread with the categories s/he deems appropriate. No one is being forced to participate in a thread they think is silly. This thread isn't any sillier than lots of others that appear on this message board. And while people are free to disagree, I don't believe they have the right to censor/dictate what others do. What's wrong with someone creating another thread that was different from the "Top 10 US cities?" Maybe I am uninformed, but I am not aware of any rule that says people have to stick with an already established thread and can't create a new one if they choose. Or is there some unwritten rule with which I am not familiar?

Thanks I appreciate it.

Mpope- It's just a poll, nothing to take seriously.

This person is expressing an opinion. Isn't everyone entitled to and free to express an opinion? Or is that verboten? And if so, by whom?

Maybe because it's not any different. But you're right, I was wrong. If people want to spill the "truth" about cities they've never seen and show just how well rounded they aren't..they should have the right to do so .

Well, the thread says "which CITIES in the US do you consider truly "world class"?

Los Angeles hardly qualifies as a "city", so I understand why people are not voting for it. Now, if you like LA, good for you!

Well sorry to break it to you, but the fact still remains that Los Angeles is indeed a city in every sense of the word. And it still has more world class appeal than any city that got more votes than it (with the excpetion of New York and Chicago).

With all of these votes, I'm very interested in hearing everyone's definition of "world class"; furthermore, if they've been around the world to know what it finds "classy".
