We are newlyweds from Aspen, CO that have decided it's too expensive to live here...it's time to move. We are open to moving anywhere. My husband is an architect and I am an entrepreneur...need a place that will inspire us. Would love a town/city that has good public transportation, parks, and creativity. Any input will help us!

Portland, San Francisco, DC, NYC, Boston, Chicago, Atlanta, etc..

If you're looking at anywhere outside the U.S., Toronto, ON and Vancouver, BC are both very progressive, dense and eco-conscious cities that would fit you're specs. However, Vancouver especially tends to be pricy for housing.

This question was made for Portland. Too bad it's getting more expensive there every year. Also the economy is terrible there.

Hmm. Austin? :-/

Boston, Portland, or Austin. Any of those seem to meet the qualifications. Hope that helps!

Austin is not really any more progressive, bikable, creative or eco friendly than Dallas or Houston

It is one of those tired stereotypes that needs to go away...... and I like Austin alot

For the OP, Portland and seattle come to mind as well as Corvallis and Eugene OR
