Ummmmmmm. I don't think it's a bad idea. This is a part of a massive park. The bridge was mostly paid by donations. Only 28 million came from the citizens.

Is that huge area also a flood plain? I wonder cause Sacramento has something similar...during the summer they Yolo bypass is dry but during winter, its like a huge lake.

Yes, it's a flood plain. They moved the river from downtown and created the flood plain and levees.

When I first saw your vid it totally reminded me of the flood plain in between Sacramento and the Bay Area.
