Hello,

Both cities have large black community and a big black culture, nevertheless they are not in the top ten of the best cities for african americans
What are the advantages and the inconveniences to be living there and to prospering there.
Thank you for your answers which allow me to know the urban life of the US.

I'd say Baltimore for the same reason in terms of proximity to the Washington DC area.

Baltimore, the only reason it's not voted one of the best for AAs is because of its violent crime rate, but excluding D.C. Baltimore wins hands down compared to Miami. Baltimore alone still has a strong economy and a decent Black working class. Baltimore is no cakewalk but Miami looks like Haiti after the earthquake!

Lol @ how DC has already taken over this thread especially considering they're two different metros. Baltimore is so overlooked It's not even funny anymore.

DC is very irrelevant to the vast majority of people in Baltimore for people saying it is. Furthermore, Baltimore has its own job market which is stronger than most cities and has nothing to do with government. People not from the Baltimore won't know this, but Baltimore does it's own thing. I've read post in the past that said the majority of people in Baltimore work in DC....people are clueless.
