Austin. Charlotte and Austin have pretty nice skylines and both cities seem to be building a lot of high rises. Both cities have a nice clean look and both Charlotte and Austin's skylines will develop dramatically in the next few years.

I do have to agree with that they are similar in a lot of ways!
Although IMO it seems that CLT would have more height in their skyline than Austin. I have heard alot of people connect CLT with KC's Skyline too!
Charlotte is pretty much on its own, there is no one that is on CLT's level. Everyone is either below or above CLT.
Austin would be the closest, but Austin is a notch or 2 below....

Charlotte is in a rare spot at this point in time. It is almost up with the big boys - but not quite. IMO, it leaves most of its true peer cities in the dust, however.

I agree with this. BOA and the Duke Energy building puts Charlotte skyline above it's competition. I have to admit that there have been several times I have mistaken Cleveland's skyline with Charlotte.

Yes that is true with all the other cities its placed in it may be the same population wise or metro wise but its skyline its quite the story when you compare them with those other cities in our category. We may not be on th level with cities such as Atlanta but we are on a fast pace to it both population wise and lets face it we're right there at it with the skyline category. It would be 300X's better though if the city was river front though like Cleveland or so but we have lakes to make up for it I guess.

No. You just lost me with this post. You are nowhere near Atlanta yet in any category at all. Skyline, population wise, etc. Give it another 25+ years or so.
