I had to make this one after all the other Denver vs. various city threads. I want to see how people feel how the Mile High City stacks up against the Big Apple. Using the usual criteria, you know architecture, culture, diversity, arts, scenery, cost of living, transit system, and just flat out which one you like better.

As a former Denver resident I must say I'm a little embarrassed by these Denver vs >>>>> threads. There is absolutely no way Denver can compete with NYC in terms of architecture, culture, diversity, arts, scenery, transit system, etc... Anyone who thinks otherwise and votes for Denver should perhaps be wearing a helmet and living in a group home.

OK, i'll start Denver(bear in mind i'm a homer), let the tar and feathering begin. I do plan on living in NYC at some point for a while, I want to be a part of it NEW YORK, NEW YORK..and see what it's like for myself beyond the casual visit. I live in group home with a helmet.

Home is home..that's all I'm saying..ya once again..this comes from Homer. Just looking at actual cities and not what surrounds them IMO objectively..of course New York. I often take the Custer's last stand position.

K, let me rephrase my original post. You can either vote by the criteria I gave or by which one you like better. I happen to like Denver better.

Denver beat LA on these forums..not saying it's right...just personal preference. I too have often wondered how NYC would compare on CD, btw
not every one is overly impressed with urban settings. I choose Santa Barbara over LA..Boulder over Denver..bigger is better for some, not everyone.
And FYI..Denver will beat Minneapolis on and off this forum any day of the week, and no I don't hate the Twin Cities.
