I could care less what the biggest or densest is I think the top 5 in Midwest are:

1. Minneapolis
2. Cincinnati
3. Oklahoma City
4. Des Moines
5. Milwaukee

I know Detroit is dense but I think its really ugly.

Are people just not considering Oklahoma City part of the Midwest or how is it that not one person has named it?

After Chicago I really don't think anything in the midwest can compete skyline wise with Detroit.
I agree with your sentiment but with some slight modifications. As a disclaimer, I have never been to any othese cities but I am going by pictures. So I want to be honest and point that out. My order:

Cleveland/Minneapolis
Detroit
Indianapolis/Cincinnati/Kansas City/Columbus

After these it is pretty much a toss up.

It's considered the Western South, like Texas

What? How?

Not only does Oklahoma City contain a city named Midwest City but geologically it has almost nothing in common with New Mexico and Arizona.

Its all Indian and Great Plains seems very much like all the other Midwest states..

Is this really a general consensus?

I dunno about the general consensus, but people there have Southern accents, it's one of the most highly Southern Baptist states in the country, people drink sweet tea. It was a territory that had slavery. That's good enough for me. And it's not all Indian, maybe less than 10% Native American.

This is what is considered the Midwest, as I learned it in school:

Hmm I was never taught this stuff in school. I always though Iowa, Nebraska, Missouri, Kansas, and Oklahoma were midwest and then Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, and Michigan were Great Lakes States and then South Dakota and North Dakota were grouped with the Rocky Mountain States.

Oh and I can accept you saying Oklahoma as South maybe. But you said Southwest at first which to me is Arizona and New Mexico pretty much exclusively.
