I love Indian food and have been on a search to find the best Indian restaurants in the United States? Which US city has the best Indian food?

New York?

Los Angeles?
Washington DC?
Bay Area?

Well, I once walked into one in Berkeley CA (SF suburb) to ask for directions. The smell was so pungent, that I got my directions and ran out in a hurry. I think that, with the Bay Area being so "cool" and multi-cultural, you'll score on Indian food there. I'm commenting on quantity, since I can't vouch for quality.

Philadelphia once again has a ton of great Indian eats all throughout the metro. There is a ton of Indian culture in the area especially in Central Jersey. I actually just had Indian last night.

Yeah, they like Jersey. My doctor, for a short time, an Indian biotch who was RUDE, moved to the West from Jersey.

But probably considered a failure by her parents.

Well, using the logic circulating in other threads, the answer is NYC because it has more Indians than any other city.

This also means that NYC has the most variety of any city in the country because it has the largest populations of Indians and Chinese.

What was impressive is how her nursing / medical assistant staff "turned over," an indicator of whether a physician, male or female, is a douche. Another one is if they're taking new patients "Oh, sure." Upon moving back to the area, I tried to get my previous doctor, probably the best I've ever had, and heard "Sorry, he's not accepting new patients." He was both a super smart and super nice guy.

Back to Chicken Tandoori and curry flavored dishes, for those of you who want to partake...

What does Central New Jersey have to do with Philly? You can't include NJ when convenient & exclude us as you see fit. Speak on Indian food in Philly & leave NJ out of it.

Not sure but some of the best Indian I have had anywhere in the country can be found in Central and North Jersey. Also the part of Central Jersey is well above the area anyone would consider with any Philly influence IMHO

Jersey in general has very good food and far to often overshawdowed by NYC and Philly to lessor extent on the whole
