And since when does a big population make a city better? It has already been shown that the smaller Denver has everything that Dallas has, plus better weather and scenery and quality of life!

If quality of life is so good, how come the Metroplex is growing faster than the Denver Metro?

Denver and Dallas have the same thing, can you please list them!

I forget what the term is called when a persons natural reaction is to vote for the underdog to spite the obvious winner. Theres a lot of Dallas haters on here. Jealousy? perhaps, Ignorance? perhaps.

Or it could be that the better city is winning, and you cannot take it! I love it when that "everything is bigger or better in texas" crap is proven wrong! What was that top ten list that came out a month or two ago? Which city would you MOST want to lie in? I know Denver was like number 2 on it. Not sure where dallas was.

People must want to live here because, Dallas is growing faster than Denver and Texas is growing faster than Colorado!

jobs. dallas is cheap. cheap land, flat land, massive freeway system and no natural barriers.

You can throw an office park up in metro dallas for far less than denver and have far more places to build such a park. same with houses.

Dallas does not even come close to comparing to the quality of life of Denver.

Smaller, more compact metro, vibrant downtown, a solid "metrowide" rail and bus system, bike trails galore and all of that next to the rocky mountains.

Dallas is a sprawling mess in the middle of texas with some cool areas (I like the north side of dallas and parts of downtown dallas). But it just does not offer the same package that denver does. Few, if any, cities do.

Regarding city amenities, a lot of people forget the fact that Denver is the largest city and metro area for 600 miles. Due to that fact, it serves as the de-facto regional center for the Intermountain West. So it does pack a punch in many ways due to it's isolated location, it's the Big Fish for the region. In terms of amenities, Dallas/Ft. Worth has Houston nearby that either complements or rivals it depending on what floats your boat.

Also, more popularity doesn't necessarily mean "better." Way too subjective. If that's the case, Britney Spears would be a multiple Grammy winner and considered a musical genius. Both Denver and Dallas are both fast growing, great cities in their own right.

Why do people keep saying Dallas is flat? I mean, there are no mountains, but it's not flat.

This ain't Nebraska, folks....

You know whats funny in the Miami, NYC, Chicago threads you never hear people say that about them and all those cities are a lot more flat than Dallas. Even Houston is more flat than Dallas. I dont understand it either, they say it to be negative toward Dallas but it comes off as ignorant because there is definition to the geography around Dallas. Oh and I always find the "treeless prairie" snide remarks funny too. Dallas is very green. A lot of the cities in the area are members of "tree city usa" even.
