Dallas and Denver are apples and oranges.

Denver is a beautiful and clean city surrounded in one of the most picturesque environments in the country. Its an outdoorsmans paradise.

Dallas is an international, diverse, corporate mega-giant.

Wrong actually, only portions of the southern part of Manhattan were flattened. Northern Manhattan - West Harlem and Washington Heights are quite hilly, as well as the Bronx. Most visitors don't go to these areas, so I wouldn't expect you to know this. HERE is a look at northern Manhattan. Also, to the north and west of NYC there is quite a bit of topography due to the Catskills.

Anyway, for the purpose of this thread, its neither here nor there. Having lived in Denver for 4-years, I would say my preference is for a location with great access to the mountains and nature. Additionally, I felt that Dallas was too sprawling for my tastes.

I know I said Denver before, but I was just going off of Dallas/Denver not Dallas/Fort Worth/Denver. With Fort Worth it changes everything completely.

Denver + Dallas Metropolitan Areas:

Fort Worth > Denver > Dallas

I like the actual city of Denver a lot more than the actual city of Dallas. I have had an amazing time in Denver of all places. But when you take into consideration the 3 principle cities of the two metropolitan areas I have to give it to DFW because of Fort Worth.
It's not that I have had more in Fort Worth over Denver, just that I like the cultural aspects to it a lot more. Only complaint is the weak skyline...

My favorite big city in Texas. I like it more than both Houston & Dallas. You guys are lucky to have that with you in the Metroplex. Like I mean it, it's one of of the most authentic places in the state.
