I travel in Europe quite a bit and have never met a single soul who didn’t know Boston and/or have a favorable impression of it.

You are lying.

I have heard the same apologia countless times from folks. Cant **** on my leg and tell me it's raining. Been to probably 15 parks and have spent countless hours at Fenway, games and working. It's an interesting place. But it's not a good place to actually watch and enjoy a game.
You can't make up for a seat being in the next zip code like at Citi Field, idc about cup holders or a homerun apple I care about being close enough to the field to see an out, and with that no park is better than Fenway.

So Los Angeles isn't a global city? Wow, I learn so much on this forum.

Not like NYC, London, Paris, Hong Kong, Tokyo it's not. Next tier down. Glad you're learning

The gameday experience is also better at fenway than most with bars and activity surrounding the park. Can't stand parks surrounded with nothing but parking lots.

The only park that pulls it off that is in a sea of parking is Miller in Milwaukee which has a tailgating scene.

Depends on how high you want to raise the bar for what qualifies as a global city.

Los Angeles affects and influences more people around the world than New York, and that’s just a fact.

Well aside from that being absolutely untrue, sure.

I think that kind of myopia means you probably have even less worthwhile posts when commenting on how well known SF or Boston is.

You're kidding right. Try taking off your west coast glasses for a day. There's a pretty amazing world out there.
