Toronto's first and second skyscrapers..

Beard Building (1894) - Demolished in the 1970's to make way for a parking lot.


Temple Building (1896) - Demolished, lot was used to build a new hotel in the 1930's.

i don't know whether to be proud or sad that nyc was larger in the 1800's than most u.s. cities are now. we really need to step it up as a country.
